Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how VideoVoice (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our AI video dubbing service. We take privacy seriously — particularly because our service processes voice and audio data.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information — email address when you sign up or submit a dubbing request via our free-dub form.
  • Video and audio files — the content you upload or link to for processing. This includes any voice recordings embedded in those files.
  • Usage data — pipeline job IDs, selected languages, TTS engine choices, timestamps, and basic technical metadata (browser type, IP address).
  • Communications — messages you send us via email or our contact forms.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Deliver and improve the dubbing pipeline and associated features.
  • Send you your dubbed output and respond to support enquiries.
  • Monitor for abuse, fraud, and violations of our Terms of Service.
  • Analyse aggregate usage patterns to improve service performance and quality.
  • Send product updates and announcements (you can unsubscribe at any time).

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Voice & Audio Data

Processing your video requires us to extract and analyse voice audio. This data is used exclusively to produce your dubbed output. We do not store raw voice samples beyond the period required to complete your job and a short retention window for support purposes (see Section 6).

We do not use your voice data to train our models without your explicit written consent.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:

  • Hugging Face Spaces — our AI inference backends run on Hugging Face infrastructure. Files processed through the pipeline are handled in accordance with Hugging Face's privacy and data policies.
  • Firebase (Google) — used for email collection and waitlist management. Google's privacy policy applies to data processed through Firebase.
  • TikTok — if you connect your TikTok account or provide a TikTok video URL, we access TikTok's API solely to retrieve your basic profile information (username and avatar) for display and to upload or publish your dubbed video to your account at your request. We only access TikTok data with your authorisation and use it exclusively to provide the features you have asked for. We are not affiliated with TikTok.

We do not embed advertising trackers or sell data to ad networks.

5. Cookies & Analytics

We use minimal, privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate traffic and usage patterns. No cross-site tracking cookies are set. Essential session cookies may be used for pipeline job continuity and are deleted when your session ends.

6. Data Retention

Processed video files and intermediate audio are deleted from our servers within 7 days of job completion. Email addresses collected via our free-dub form are retained for up to 24 months or until you request deletion. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing us (see Section 9).

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”).
  • Object to or restrict certain processing activities.
  • Port your data to another service in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Revoke VideoVoice's access to your connected TikTok account at any time, either from within VideoVoice or from your TikTok account settings.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have done so, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
